Weavers Workshop Awareness Programme of Central Schemes for Handloom Sector.
Awareness Programme was conducted in Shramajeevi Ashrama for the Weavers of Charaka Mahila Vividdodesha Kaigarika Sahakara Sangha Ni.,
The awareness Programme was sponsored by the Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, O/o Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Delhi which is organized by the Weavers Service Centre Bangalore.
In the Programme various schemes were introduced to the Weavers.
The main objectives of the scheme will follow need-based approach for integrated and holistic development of handlooms and welfare of handloom weavers. The scheme will support weavers in both within and outside the cooperative field.
The scheme aims to incentivize and support the efforts of the industrial sector in generating employment opportunities in the textile sector. It also aims to increase the productivity of the present workers in the textile sectors such as handloom, handicrafts etc.,
To promote skilling and skill upgradation in the traditional sectors of handloom
To enable provision of sustainable livelihood either by wage or self-employment to all sections of the society across the country.

- Handloom Marketing Assistance
- Providing training in Handloom field in different discipline for the Skill development under SAMARTH scheme.
- Pradan Mantri Handloom Weavers Mudra Scheme
- Insurance coverage under PMJJBY, PMSBY and Converged MGBBY
- Promoting Handloom Mark and India Handloom Brand among the Handloom Producers (to brand our Handloom Products to secure a premium position in Domestic and International Market)
- Implementing Raw Material Supply Scheme by NHDC
