Charaka Utsava was held for 2 days on 24-FEB-2024 and 25-FEB-2024 at the Venue Shramajeevi Ashrama, Honnesara.
On a first day 24-FEB-2024 evening, cultural program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest VP, Sanjay Rai Secretary of the All-India Harijan Seva Sangh, The President Shri Rajesh of The Gram Panchayat, Heggodu, The Chairman Smt. Gowramma of the Charaka Mahila Vividhoddesha Kaigarika Sahakara Sangha Ni.,
After the inaugural, ‘Ayodhya Kanda’ a play was performed by the Mysuru based theatre group ‘Navodaya’ staged Written & directed by Sri Prasanna. Music by Anush Shetty, Costume Design by Nandini K. R, Makeup by G. M Ramachandra, Lighting by Mahesh kumar Nanjundaiah and On Stage artists: Pradeep, Padmashri CR, Rajalakshmi, Anush Shetty, Sundaresh Devapriyam and Suprith.
On a second day of 25-FEB-2024 at 10:00 AM “Buyer seller meet” took place which is organized by Charaka Mahila Vividhoddesha Kaigarika Sahakara Sangha Ni., Bheemanakone Sagar Tq Shivamogga Dist in association with Department of Handlooms & Textiles – Government of Karnataka
Fashion Show was organized, this fashion show was participated from the rural artisans, the employees of Charaka Mahila Vividhoddesha Kaigarika Sahakara Sangha Ni., which stole everybody’s heart.
At 11:00 AM a discussion session was held on the “Pavitra Vastra” a sacred fabric on the natural dye’s handmade products, many dignitaries from the different villages and cities gave their valuable thoughts and opinions during the session.
In the evening at 6:30 PM Charaka Festival continued by giving the “Kayaka award” to our rural artisans for their accomplishments, distribution function held at shramajeevi ashrama in presence of Chief Guest Mr. Manjunatha Shetty the President Gram Panchayat Bheemanakone, Smt.Gowramma The President and Mr. Prasanna the Mentor and Founder of the Charaka Mahila Vividhoddesha Kaigarika Sahakara Sangha Ni.,
At 7:30 PM a famous Yakshagana “CHANDRAVALI VILASA” by Shri Krupa Poshita Yakshagana Mandali Shri Hattiangadi Mela and along with the guest artists.
